Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in IT on Business Reporting Intelligence
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Management / Information Technology or equivalent relevant industry qualification (mandatory)
  • Analysis, design, development and deployment using Microsoft Business Intelligence tools and Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services/Data Transformation Services (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)
  • Strong foundation in business intelligence tools, decision support systems, OLAP technology and multi-dimensional data
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel

Responsibility:

  • Provide critical management and analysis of financial and non-financial information to achieve improvements in performance measures such as cost reduction, time reduction or quality improvement which support BPS’ strategic priorities
  • Undertake data profiling, data quality and integrity analysis to provide guidance and expert advice on source systems to the BPS SDE, Managers and Team Leaders including identifying risks or barriers to achieving outcomes
  • Produce regular reports for service levels, resource units, management and financial management
  • Assist with production support of the BPS users including workflow and user administration
  • Initiate change to the workflow system following the change management process
  • Assist with management of hardware assets
  • Monitor business reporting and intelligence programs in relation to planned transformational project / initiative outcomes and key deliverables
  • Develop, implement and maintain a knowledge bank of contemporary business reporting and intelligence approaches, tools and processes to boost capability. This includes development of MS Access Databases and Excel spreadsheets
  • Influence the continual development, automation and improvement of the data warehouse and business intelligence platform using established standards and processes
  • Ensure corporate standards, brand management and values are upheld in all activities
  • Develop and sustain a continuous improvement culture through active participation in HP solution and services
  • Be willing to work outside of business hours when required
