Job Description:
- We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Data Engineer Intern to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will have foundational skills in Python, Airflow, big data technologies, Linux, Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- As a Junior Data Engineer Intern, you will assist in building and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring data accessibility, reliability, and security and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Understanding of workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or Prefect.
- Experience with Linux operating systems
- Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its data services.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Apache NiFi & Apache Spark.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibility:
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines using Python, Airflow/Prefect.
- Assist in Python Scripting with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Selenium.
- Learn and implement Monitoring & Observability methodologies in existing python scripts using tools like Promethius, Grafana or ELK stack.
- Work within a Linux environment and utilize GCP for cloud-based data solutions
- Added Advantage if knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Apache NiFi, Apache Spark.
- Support the implementation of ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses and lakes.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver data solutions.
- Contribute to implementing data security and privacy policies to protect sensitive information.
- Perform data validation and cleansing to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our data infrastructure.
