Job Description:
- Our Product Analytics team is looking for a Data Analyst to help us uncover deep insight into our customer and user engagement across the product portfolio, and deliver relevant and measurable intelligence to Product leadership.
- Our goal is maturing the analytic capabilities of our product organization, and realizing what is possible with the incredible amount of business, user, and customer data New Relic generates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field (Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field)
- 1 to 3 related work experience
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data viz tools such as Tableau, Looker or similar
- Strong proficiency in data science tools and programming languages such as Python.
- Knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders, particularly in the context of influencing strategies.
- Project management skills – Independently execute, document, communicate.
- Influence stakeholders and partners while requirement gathering, designing data models and visualization.
- Understanding of data privacy and security best practices.
- High familiarity with data platforms and applications such as Sagemaker, Jupyter, Snowflake, Airflow, FiveTran, DBT
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Prior experience in data science with a track record of successfully deploying the work for business impact a plus
Responsibility:
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, user behaviours and corresponding business impact to inform product development decisions.
- Utilize data science techniques and statistical methods to conduct exploratory analyses and develop predictive models that drive business insights and decision-making.
- Develop and maintain a balanced set of KPIs and performance metrics that assess the success of product initiatives, including product adoption, revenue impact, user and customer retention.
- Utilize various data analysis tools and methodologies to extract actionable insights from large datasets, covering both product usage and financial data.
- Create and present data-driven reports and presentations to stakeholders, demonstrating how product improvements positively impact the bottom line
- Stay current with best practices in data analysis and data science to make well-informed data-driven recommendations.
