Job Description:
- The Data Engineer’s role involves designing the transformation and modernization of big data solutions on the GCP cloud, integrating native GCP services with third-party data technologies.
- Candidates must have experience with large-scale solutions and the operationalization of data warehouses, data lakes, and analytics platforms on GCP.
- We seek individuals with a wide range of technology skills in these domains, capable of designing the right solutions using a mix of GCP and third-party technologies for deployment on the GCP cloud.
Requirements:
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Certification preferred.
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience developing applications w/Java
- 3+ years of GCP experience working in GCP based Big Data deployments (Batch/Real-Time) leveraging Big Query, Postgres, Google Cloud Storage, PubSub, Data Fusion, Dataflow, Dataproc, etc.
- 3+ years of data engineering pipelines/ building data warehouse systems with ability to understand ETL principles and write complex sql queries.
- 1 Year experience of deploying google cloud services using Terraform
- As a member of an implementation team, provide deep technical expertise from concept through to operations, ensuring the successful deployment of a Data Platform.
- Implement automation methods across the entire pipeline to reduce labor in both development and production phases.
- Identify, develop, and evaluate Proof of Concepts to validate solutions.
- Test and assess competing solutions, then present a well-reasoned perspective on the optimal choice.
- Design and construct production data engineering solutions that adhere to our pipeline patterns, utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services
